The site XDA Developers has indeed discovered a line of code in MIUI 11, the latest version of the system of the Chinese brand. This allows the frequency of the display to be changed from 60 to 120 Hz.

Only two parameters are thus possible for the user who can choose to maintain a refresh rate of 60 Hz, or go directly to 120 Hz. It is thus not possible to select at the intermediate rate at 90 Hz, however that adopted by OnePlus on its latest OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro.

A setting for the first compatible smartphones

Recall that for the moment, no smartphone sold by Xiaomi offers a refreshing rate higher than 60 Hz.
